One Body One Family is a community-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Uganda with certificate number TTV.DIV/154/2020. We started in 2016 with the aim of working with orphaned and vulnerable young people to improve their safety and physical, spiritual, and emotional health.
The organization's target population is orphaned and street children, many of whom have been orphaned by HIV or abandoned by family violence. We provide shelter, food, love, and education — and teach every child that they are deeply valued by God.
Since 2016 our major aim has been to change the lives of the most vulnerable children of Mityana district and around Uganda.
A safe, loving home for 46 orphans aged 4–14, rescued from the streets and village communities.
Our own junior school providing quality education and English skills to vulnerable children in the community.
Daily nutritious meals for every child in the home, plus outreach feeding programs for street children.
Bible study, Sunday School, and church attendance so every child grows in faith and hope in Christ.
Medical attention, counselling, and health education for children inside and outside the home.
Active outreach maintaining contact with children still on the street, providing basic care and love.
"One Body One Family has taught me a lesson — they have taught me God's love and caring. They show this love not only to one another but share it throughout their community. I am amazed every day!"
"One Body One Family works so hard with little resources to save the lives of the most vulnerable children. Their dedication is truly inspiring."
"I have been working with One Body One Family for three months now and I am so much impressed with the way they help the needy children. It is a blessing."
